Bubble Club has been running since November 1994 and is a weekly Parent/Carer and Toddler group for children with or without learning disabilities. Bubble club is a very relaxed group, which is important, particularly as many parents attending may be at their most venerable and anxious after finding out that their child has a learning disability. The staff, volunteers and parents all work together to create a welcoming atmosphere and many of the parents form supportive and lasting friendships with each other, particularly as their children often attend the same school when they reach school age.
Bubble meets every Wednesday during term time between 10am and 12noon and is free. At half term siblings of school age are welcome to attend. Children are able to use the facilities at the centre that include a very well equipped sensory room and an attractive outdoor playground.
During most sessions of Bubble club the Family Advisor is available to deal with any queries and/or confidential discussions on welfare issues.
