Children’s Sitting Service
We are currently looking for people to join our Children’s Sitting Service.
We are looking for eager people that are willing to work with children with all kinds of disabilities on a one to one basis. The children will have PMLD- profound and multiple leaning difficulties and ASC- autistic spectrum condition. We are looking for people to give up a few hours during the day, at weekends, during school holidays or evenings, on an ad hock basis. You need to be able to drive and have your own transport! The work involves taking the children out also being with them in their home environment.
Pay is £8 an hour. You will be subject to a CRB check.

West Berkshire Mencap is an established learning disability charity based in Newbury
SUPPORT WORKERS (PERMANENT & BANK)
We are seeking to employ (full and part time) and bank staff to work for our Domiciliary Care Agency providing care and support to adults and children with learning disabilities in their own homes and in our supported living unit in Newbury.
You will need to be reliable, flexible, conscientious and have a positive outlook towards supporting people with learning disabilities.
Experience working with people with learning disabilities is preferred but not essential. Drivers are essential.
Pay rates for permanent staff (37.5 hours per week) range from £15,500 to £17,500 per annum (or pro rata for part time) dependent on experience for which an ability to work a flexible working pattern including evenings, weekends and public holidays is essential.
Pay rates for bank staff range from £7.40 to £10.85 per hour (depending on experience and when the hours are worked).
